It’s been more than a month since we visited the wonderful island of Bali in Indonesia and I want to share with you some photos from the Taman Cactus.
The Cactus Glasshouse is inside the Bali Botanical Garden in Bedugul. So how did we discover this place? Immediately after our flight we went to Bedugul for some photoshoot and upon going back to our villa, our wonderful guide, Ate Putu suggested we pass by the gardens. At first I wasn't into it because I haven't slept for 36 hours and I was having a splitting migraine by this time. Not totally in our itinerary but she has the intitiative to invite us there when I casually said I love plants. My headache was soothed for the time we were here! The air is fresh, and the place is not crowded! I'm so happy that there are few tourists here haha.
The botanical garden deserves another post. Right now let me show you the Taman Cactus. The cactus garden is situated on a hill, inside a glass house. At first I didn't understand why our guide drove us inside the park and then stopped. And then I saw the glass house. I don’t think the temperature is controlled; I suppose they are housed just to protect it from the rains. Their website says 100 species of cactus is in the greenhouse. It is maintained but there are some signs of neglect. BUT STILL! I hope we have some kind of like this in Manila. The last cactus garden I visited was in Paris, and maybe I will post about that soon too. (Note to self: try to be more regular when it comes to blogging!!!)
Enough with all my talk, let me show you the photos!
After our visit here, we went around some more until my head hurts so much it is blinding already haha. If you want the best tour guid8e in Bali, I can refer you to our guide Kuya Ketut Travels and Ate Putu.
